Phra Sri Ariyametrai

The sacred Buddha image was blessed at Group 5, the Museum of the Supreme Patriarch Suk Kai Theun, Wat Ratchasitharam (Wat Plab) in October 2022.
The material of the gems, including garnets and rubies, used as the material for the blessing in 2 ceremonies: the ceremony to pay homage to the spirit of King Taksin the Great on April 17, 2022 in Nakhon Nayok Province and in June at Wat Khao Khun Phanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, a place with a connection to King Taksin.

The meaning of Phra Sri Ariyametrai, the name "Phra Sri Ariya Navamudom Muni"
comes from "Phra Sri Ariyametrai or the Red Glass Buddha or the next Buddha, waiting for the time to come down to enlighten the Dharma as a Buddha in the future" and "Navamudom Muni It is a memorial to the place of consecration at Group 5, which means "a scholar who practices meditation in the middle order", which is a meditation that has been around since the time of the Buddha, passed down to Phra Rahula Thera, which is the only and only meditation line in the Rattanakosin era.
It is an induction for all of you from worshipping Buddha images in terms of Buddhist art to study and practice and develop in the way of Dhamma, in giving, morality and meditation.
Making merit through meditation is the creation of the highest and greatest merit.
As in the time of the Buddha, when the Buddha gave a sermon, and then all of the people prayed that "If I cannot escape suffering in the religion of Phra Samana Kodom, then I will escape suffering in the religion of Phra Sri Ariya Maitreya."
Why is his body red?
According to the legend of the 5 Buddhas, each Buddha will have a personal crystal Buddha.
The red crystal Buddha is dressed in the emperor's robes, decorated with gold and gems, representing the emperor's power of Phra Sri Ariya Maitreya.
The "Great Emperor's Prayer" is chanted to gather merit and virtue. For dedicating merit and spreading loving-kindness to the 3 realms of existence: the human world, heaven, and hell. This chant by Luang Pu Du Phrompanyo, a monk of Wat Sakae, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, was inspired by the Champupati Sutta, which praises the story of when the Lord Buddha transformed himself into a universal monarch to subdue the conceit of King Champupati. This is the origin of the Buddha statue in royal attire.

Sacred Buddhist consecration ceremony
At the Museum of Somdej Phra Sangkharaj Suk Kai Thuen, the teacher of Somdej To Phromrangsi, Group 5, Wat Ratchasitharam, the Buddhist consecration ceremony will be held in October 2022.
Part of the income will be donated to the Middle-order Meditation Fund, Wat Ratchasitharam.
